Mining Industry - Residential role (no FIFO) 12.5% Super – Monthly contributions Doral Mineral Sands Pty Ltd (DMS), mines and processes heavy mineral sands near Mandurah, Bunbury and Busselton in the Southwest of WA. This role will provide an excellent entry opportunity as a valued and integral part of a successful mining operation.
This role, based near Bunbury at our Picton Site, will report directly to the Senior Accountant, assisting in the successful completion of the following duties and roles:
Prepare and process journal entries Identify and manage monthly prepayments and accruals. Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations. Support intercompany balances submissions Preparation of BAS and FBT workings. Contribute to the short-term cash forecast reporting. Support the annual audit process. Engage in various ad hoc duties and continuous improvement initiatives. Minimum Requirements:
Relevant tertiary qualifications, degree qualified in Accounting, Commerce or Business (or equivalent) or studying for a degree Minimum of 1-year previous experience in a similar role is preferred, with an understanding of accounting principles and standards Proficient in Excel Strong analytical skills with the ability to work accurately and pay attention to detail. Effective communication skills and a collaborative team player. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Positive, can-do attitude with a passion for continuous improvement. Working Conditions:
Full Time - Monday to Friday (some scope for part-time / flexible hours) 9 day Fortnight – regular RDO Family Friendly workplace Minimum C class license and own vehicle required Subject to pre-employment medical and drug screen How to apply:
