Assistant Accountant

Responsibilities: Responsible for bank reconciliations of high-volume bank accounts on a daily basis.Support the front-line business with customer & system financial enquiries.Assist the finance team with financial accounting tasks including, but not limited to:Process all journals as required e.g.
accruals and prepaymentsGeneral ledger reconciliationsAnalysis of company expenditure by expense type and cost centreMonthly management reportingOngoing development of procedures to improve current processes that would benefit the business through improved efficiency.Assist in the preparation of annual external audit and internal audits.Assist in business projects as required.Take all reasonable directions from leaders to comply with the organisation's workplace health & safety (WHS) protocols.
WHS is everyone's responsibility. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor of Commerce / Accounting (or similar discipline).Looking to commence or working towards a CA/CPA qualification.Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word & Gmail and an integrated financial software package.Self–motivated, strives for efficiency and is able to work autonomously to meet reporting deadlines.A team player with the ability to demonstrate initiative, and attention to detail in a demanding, but rewarding environment.Experience in an accounting role is preferred but not essential. #J-18808-Ljbffr
