Are you ready to start your accounting career journey? RACQ is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our dynamic team as an Assistant Accountant.
As an Assistant Accountant, you will work closely with the Group Finance team to maintain the integrity of financial information within RACQ general ledger and integrated system. Your responsibilities will include the processing of financial transactions, producing financial reporting to meet internal management reporting obligations, and general ledger reconciliation activities. Through effective business partnering and collaboration, you will ensure that all financial transactions comply with Australian Accounting Standards and are executed with precision and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with Financial Accountants and the Group Finance Manager to execute financial control activities.Ensure all financial transactions are planned, timely, and accurate and comply with Australian Accounting Standards.Perform transactional accounting and general ledger reconciliation activities.Utilise your problem-solving skills to interpret data and perform numerical calculations.Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.Work autonomously and as part of a team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.About you: Undergraduate degree in relevant accounting or finance area.1-2 years of relevant experience.Studying towards obtaining CPA or CA.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Knowledge of accounting standards and principles.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.Why join RACQ?
