Assistant Accountant

About the roleWe are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join the team at PakPot Pty Ltd. As a full-time role based in Wingfield, SA 5013, you will play a crucial part in supporting the broader accounting and finance functions of our growing organisation.
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting the Group Financial Controller in the preparation of month-end and year-end reporting.
Processing Payroll (Back up and support).
Balance sheet reconciliations.
Supporting year-end accounting processes.
Assisting with the preparation of BAS and other ATO compliance reporting.
Fixed asset register management.
Providing support and backup to AR, AP, and stock control as required.
HR administration support.

What we're looking for

Formal accounting qualification, such as a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or an Advanced Diploma and relevant experience in the field.
Some experience in a similar assistant accountant or bookkeeping role preferred
Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical and analytical skills
Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships
Highly organised and able to prioritise tasks effectively
