Assistant Accountant (Fixed Term Contract)

About the Company
Our client is a highly recognised leading healthcare organisation with a fantastic workplace culture who are seeking an Assistant Accountant for an immediate start. This is a 9 month contract position. 
Specific duties include: Monitor daily cash flows and ensure scheduled payments are processed on time. Perform timely and accurate bank reconciliations, resolving issues promptly. Administer banking systems, manage user setup, and liaise with banks on queries. Manage prepayments and accruals, including calculations and journal entries. Assist with month-end processing, including general ledger reconciliations and cost reallocations. Prepare financial reports for grants and projects. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, offering proactive financial solutions. In order to be successful in this role you will need to have 1-2 years accounts experience with excellent communication skills. In addition, you will have the following:

• Demonstrated accounting experience (1-2 years preferred)
• Ability to work with large amounts of data (this is essential)
• Good stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor Degree or higher in Accounting/Commerce
