Accommodation options available for non-local candidates4-day work week (12-hour shifts)We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the optimisation of electrical systems at our client's CHPP. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and reliability of plant equipment, with a focus on electrical systems.
As an Electrical Engineer, you will focus on maintaining and improving electrical systems and equipment within the CHPP, ensuring the plant operates with minimal downtime and optimised performance. You will collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to troubleshoot, upgrade, and maintain electrical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct regular inspections, assessments, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment.Diagnose and resolve electrical faults on plant machinery.Plan and execute preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical systems.Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations.Work with a team of engineers, technicians, and contractors to implement upgrades or modifications to plant systems.Maintain accurate records of electrical work, reports, and performance data.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency and reliability.Ensure that all work is carried out in line with operational requirements and KPIs.Key Requirements: Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Electrical Engineer, preferably in a CHPP, mining, or heavy industry environment.Strong understanding of electrical systems within fixed plant operations.Proficient in using maintenance management software (e.g., SAP, Maximo, etc.).Relevant electrical trade qualifications and/or degree in Electrical Engineering.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex electrical issues.Unrestricted Australian working rights.Reside in or near Muswellbrook (or able to travel from NSW or Brisbane areas).What We Offer: 3-month initial contract with the possibility of extension.4-day work week – 12-hour shifts.Competitive pay rates of $90-$100 per hour, depending on experience.Weekly pays with Superannuation on all hours worked.Accommodation provided for non-local candidates.How to Apply: Submit your resume, outlining your experience and suitability for the role.
