As the Asset Strategy Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in directing and overseeing asset management strategy activities for our contestable asset portfolio that is projected to triple in value over the next 5 years.
Working closely with the Manager, Asset Management, you will help build a new high-performing team to lead the transformation of AusNet's capabilities to effectively manage risks associated with growth opportunities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
Establishing and maintaining fit-for-purpose Asset Management Systems for contestable assets.Developing asset management strategies and plans.Developing asset investment pipeline.Ensuring integration of our asset management system across enterprise frameworks and processes.This unique opportunity will place you at the forefront of a growing business, allowing you to carve your own path to success.
With a hybrid split (Office/WFH), this role is based in Southbank, Melbourne and is part of the Asset Management Team. This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to: Maintain a fit for purpose Asset Management System (AMS).Lead our efforts to ISO55,001 certification and ongoing compliance.Support the alignment and development of plant and spares strategies.Ensure an integrated AMS with Electricity Safety Management Schemes (ESMS) and enterprise management systems (HSEQ, Risk and Compliance, etc).Support management of Capex and Opex budgets and forecast associated with contestable assets, including ongoing prioritisation and optimisation of asset investments.Develop and maintain relationships with key internal AusNet stakeholders across HSEQ, asset management, operations & maintenance, engineering, business development, risk & compliance, delivery, and technology functions.Drive continuous improvement to increase efficiencies and support strategic growth objectives.Uplift organisational capability, including awareness and communication of the asset management system and lesson learn.Lead the organisation through the change journey to be operationally excellent at battery energy storage systems, interstate and private transmission network operations.You don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of: Experience in asset management is required.Tertiary qualification in engineering is highly regarded.Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and peers is highly regarded.Experience in change management is well regarded.People management experience is well regarded.Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with cross-business stakeholders, able to build trust and buy-in.Experience in operation and maintenance of electricity assets is well regarded.Experience in the energy industry, battery assets or other utilities is well regarded.We believe in more than just competitive pay.
