About the Role This position plays a key role in providing efficient and effective ongoing spatial support services.
The role will provide support in the development and maintenance of data within the Geographical Information System (GIS) and Asset Management Information System by creating and updating attributes and spatial features in the corporate spatial data sets including, but not limited to Roads, Pathways, Water, Wastewater, Stormwater, Open Space etc.
About You Essential requirements of the role include:
Significant experience in a relevant field.Working knowledge of cadastral, survey and civil engineering/infrastructure plans and standards, and a demonstrated ability to interpret them and translate the information into the corporate Geographical Information System.Understanding of best practices in terms of data capture and maintenance procedures, with respect to a local government organisation.Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience with business information systems specifically in relation to ESRI suite of products and asset management systems.An understanding of asset data structures.High level communication skills to effectively manage key relationships at all levels of the organisation.Desirably you will have:
Experience and knowledge working in a Spatial Role, preferably in a local government environment.Proven ability to produce various GIS Maps and further analysis to optimise the asset spatial data sets.Knowledge and experience in performing entry level analysis in various information technology systems including the Microsoft Office suite, ESRI and Business Management Systems.Ability to analyse problems and provide a solution (both technical and non-technical), standards and procedures.Qualifications in Geographical Information Systems, Cartography, Surveying, Civil Engineering or Asset management.How to Apply Your application can be submitted through the 'Apply' button.
