This Directorate is responsible for the ongoing delivery of the City's sustainability program, as well as contributing heavily to the City of Stirling's vibrant local economy, liveable neighbourhoods and thriving communities.
About the Position We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Asset Performance Analyst to join our Facilities, Projects, and Assets team on a permanent, full-time basis.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the effective management and accounting of the City's infrastructure assets.
You will provide strategic, specialist, and legislative advice on all infrastructure asset accounting matters, helping to guide the City's long-term asset and financial planning.
As an Asset Performance Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring project progress and financials related to infrastructure assets, developing processes to capture the true cost of asset investment activities, and implementing the Asset Change process organisation-wide.
You will also conduct regular data audits and risk analyses on infrastructure assets to ensure accuracy and compliance.
This position requires close collaboration with various internal stakeholders, particularly the Finance Services Business Unit, to ensure the capitalization of asset expenditure and the alignment of asset management systems with financial reporting.
Your expertise will be instrumental in coordinating annual asset revaluations and assisting with year-end financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities The duties of the Asset Performance Analyst will include but are not limited to:
Provide strategic, specialist, and legislative advice on infrastructure asset accountingMonitor project progress and financials related to infrastructure assetsDevelop processes to capture the true cost of asset investment activitiesImplement the Asset Change process organization-wideConduct regular data audits and risk analyses on infrastructure assetsReview and finalise project handovers and reconcile capital project expenses.Coordinate annual asset revaluations and assist with year-end financial reportingAbout You The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick all the boxes, you could still be a perfect fit for this role.

Tertiary qualifications in Asset Management, Accounting, or a related fieldDemonstrated knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and contemporary accounting practicesProven skills in budgeting and project capitalization processes.Strong analytical and leadership skillsExperience with Asset Management Systems, GIS, and MS Office SuiteLocal government accounting experience is desirable.For further information, please refer to the position description.
