We're responding to the challenges presented by a changing climate and leading the transition to a low carbon, renewable energy future.We're privileged to work with, live alongside and respect the culture of First Nations peoples who first understood the energy of this land.Asset Manager - Power Generation & RenewablesThis role contributes to the Horizon Power Purpose by providing asset management stewardship and leadership to optimise the performance and reliability of both traditional thermal power station assets and inverter-based renewable technologies.You will also be providing technical and engineering excellence including staying abreast of new and emerging renewable and inverter-based technologies and providing asset management leadership through effective planning, decision making and operational support across the whole asset life cycle.This is a permanent full-time position.Your role will include:Contribute to the organisation's corporate strategy and asset management objectives by leading the development and implementation of Horizon Power's Asset Management Plan in accordance with the corporate Asset Management Strategies and Frameworks.Strategically manage the operational and engineering support of both traditional diesel and gas reciprocating engines and balance of plant and inverter-based renewable assets to an effective and efficient operating regime that delivers reliability and safety whilst providing economic benefits and staying within approved budgets.Lead the Generation Asset Management team by actively contributing to an engaging, caring and high performing team environment.Develop and maintain clear and concise operating protocols and procedures for the generation portfolio of assets, ensure generation portfolio assets are built and maintained in line with agreed plans and standards and manage effective relationships with internal and external service providers for the delivery of maintenance, fault and failure response and approved capital works projects and programs.Lead incident and failure investigations, including providing trouble shooting and diagnosis of asset and system issues.You will have:Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronic Engineering or equivalent, and demonstrable relevant experience is mandatory.A proven track record in leadership positions with demonstrable experience leading teams responsible for utility assets including relevant asset management experience across the whole asset life cycle in the areas of planning and design, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance, fault finding and trouble shooting and performance monitoring.Sound knowledge of the regulatory requirements in WA and their impact on Asset Management.Ability to undertake complex investigations, prepare concise system analysis reports and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.Proven engineering and technical skills in fault finding/trouble shooting of utility assets.Our employees enjoy real rewards and recognition including:Working on impressive renewable energy projects across WA.Helping to create a connected and thriving WA.An extensive rewards and recognition program.Access to our award-winning health and wellbeing program.Flexible working arrangements.Our workplace culture is created through every interaction, every experience and everything we do.Across our organisation, we recognise and reward people and offer work that works with you.
