The Asset Manager Associate will support the Asset Management Team and be responsible for the management and value creation of the Australian portfolio of properties
The Asset Manager Associate (Associate) forms part of a dynamic Asset Management team based in Sydney with exposure to a variety of assets across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Along with supporting the Senior Asset Managers, they will shape/define asset strategic and business plans, undertake commercial deal analysis, assisting with project or development management, property management liaison and disposals across the portfolio.
The Associate will be responsible for implementing business plans and delivering best value initiatives across the portfolio, which includes:Support the Senior Asset Managers in defining and creating asset strategies and annual business plans/budgets with corresponding financial models (DCF) ensuring consistency with investors' strategy.Monitoring of the asset budgets (revenues, opex and capex) comparing to approved business plans.Analysing commercial leasing deals and conducting internal valuation analysis.Maintenance of financial models (DCF, valuation and other commercial models)Regularly interact and present to key stakeholders, including Fund Managers, Senior Asset Managers, and Investment CommitteeGatekeeper of asset level ESG data via the application of relevant ESG tools.Implement asset level ESG action plans and identify new opportunities to enhance ESG related performanceManage and liaise with property managers to achieve asset level KPI's, ensure adherence to best management practices and work closely to resolve any disputesContribute to the implementation of the marketing and letting strategyAssist with the successful delivery of Capex projects, refurbishment, or development programs, working closely with internal and/or external advisorsProvide analytical and presentation support on ad hoc strategic / managerial topicsMonitor external valuations, asset KPI's and contribute to investor reportingSupport investment underwritings led by the Transactions team and the on-board new assets, and assist the Transaction team and Senior Asset Managers for disposals.Your Profile

Your qualifications and experience:Undergraduate degree in business, finance or real estate (or equivalent)API or RICS Certification is preferred, but not a pre-condition3-8 years' experience in the real estate sectorRelevant experience in real estate in an asset & investment manager / property company / letting or investment agent / professional advisory firm in the real estate industryGood knowledge of local real estate marketUnderstanding of financial techniques (and experience in property analytics) related to real estate investmentsYour knowledge and skills:Accomplished interpersonal skills and the ability to work efficiently in a teamAutonomous, initiative, entrepreneurial and result driven cultureStrong analytical skillsVerbal and written communications and presentation skillsCreative thinking, capability to develop innovative solutionsFluent in EnglishWe would love to know more about you.
