Joining Fortescue as Asset Maintenance Specialist- Fixed Plant for our Asset & Materials Management department and reporting to the Superintendent Fixed Plant Reliability, you will play a key role in ensuring that Fortescue's fixed plant assets are managed to the optimal cost, performance, and risk outcomes over their lifecycle, throughout the whole of the iron ore business.
In this position you will be relied upon as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all of Fortescue's Vibrating Equipment and Wet Plant assets.
Key Responsibilities Define, develop, and deliver sustainable engineering solutions to optimise whole of life cost and asset performance.
Provide technical support to the business primarily in resolution of challenging faults, defects, and issues.
Also, with tender requests, evaluation, and contract management.
Grow and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders including site teams through regular site visits and interactions.
Assisting the site operational teams in the recovery and investigation of major downtime events.
Provide guidance and governance on best practice processes and systems to manage the Fortescue fixed plant assets in your assigned category.
Explore processes, equipment, and engineering opportunities to reduce asset risk exposures.
Develop whole of life asset management plans and support asset capital replacement plans.
Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Proven expertise with large scale mining assets surrounding reliability improvement, cost optimisation, and project management.
Sound understanding of maintenance and reliability improvements with vibrating screens, slurry pumping systems, thickeners and ore grinding assets Well-developed interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation skills with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.
Knowledge of CMMS, preferably SAP.
