This is a team dedicated to optimising whole of life performance for new and existing assets through investment planning, informed risk management, maintenance planning and reliability engineering practices.You will contribute to delivering organisational requirements, expected outcomes and benefits effectively and efficiently.About the role:We are seeking a Senior Technical Advisor – Asset Investigation and Monitoring to coordinate and manage programs of asset/system monitoring, investigations, and investments to deliver on the requirements across the relevant asset portfolio.It is preferential for the successful candidate to be based in the region in Northam (or Kalgoorlie) and integrate themselves with local teams and operational challenges. A Perth (JTWC) based arrangement would be considered depending on overall regional attendance and accessibility plan.This is a permanent full-time role with a proposed start date of 2nd December 2024.What the role will involve:Monitor the capital and operational project deliverables ensuring that projects delivered are fit for purpose.Recommend capital deferral risk mitigation measures and identify methods of funding and implementation.Maintain the asset deficiency process and register.Recommend and develop proactive programs for the monitoring of scheme performance.Evaluate and articulate asset and system risk and operational impact.Lead system investigations to determine root cause of systemic issues and provide input to planning solutions and identify operational solutions.Ideally you will possess the following skills and experience:Degree level qualification in an engineering/science discipline or similar.Substantial experience in managing programs, budgets, contracts, and contractors effectively.Considerable and proven operational experience in effective engineering problem solving and issue resolution.Considerable knowledge and understanding of work practices and systems relevant to asset/system inspection, monitoring, and investigations.Considerable experience in planning and progressing work activities within general guidelines, using initiative and judgement to deliver outcomes.Relevant operational experience with Water Industry assets and systems desirable.Real benefits that matter.Real flexibility with options to work from home, 9-day fortnight, flexible work hours.Two well-being days each year to do whatever you need to do to feel good.Access to long service leave pro rata after 3 years of service.Generous co-contribution superannuation.Purchase additional leave of up to 12 weeks or work 4 years at a reduced salary and take the fifth year off as paid leave.If you are interested in the above opportunity, please submit a covering letter and resume that best demonstrates your ability to meet the requirements of the role.As part of the recruitment process you will be required to complete Pre-Employment screening which may include a medical, qualification check, police clearance and Australian working rights check.Our commitment to a diverse and inclusive workplace:Diversity and inclusion are more than words.
