About this Position: We have an exciting opportunity for an Asset Inspector to join our Roads department.
The primary function of the Asset Inspector is to inspect Council assets, identify defects, record all activities in maintenance management systems and work with stakeholders to schedule maintenance works.
Assets will include but not limited to roads infrastructure, footpaths, stormwater systems and Council owned buildings and property.
This role is critical in managing the assets that connects communities.
What We can offer you: Attractive salary Training and development opportunities Flexible work options working within operational requirements Employee Assistance and Health & Wellbeing Programs What we trust you to deliver: Conduct regular inspections of Council assets, including roads, footpaths, and stormwater systems, to assess conditions and identify defects.
Accurately record inspection findings and update asset management systems with clear recommendations for repairs and improvements.
Work closely with internal teams to prioritise and schedule maintenance and repairs based on safety, functionality, and urgency.
Assess risks related to asset conditions and escalate high-risk issues to ensure timely and appropriate action.
Contribute to the development of long-term maintenance plans by evaluating asset performance and providing data-driven insights.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing technical advice and ensuring asset management activities align with Council standards.
What you will need to be successful: Certificate IV in Civil Construction or similar and/or relevant experience.
Current Class C Driver's Licence.
General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
Have personal integrity and take responsibility.
Have the ability to prioritise and schedule work and meet deadlines.
Be flexible and agile to work across different business areas.
