About the role
We are seeking applications from qualified and experienced Asset Inspectors to join our team on a full time basis. You will inspect, test and assess the condition of electrical power poles and lines throughout Victoria.
This position provides an opportunity to be trained and become qualified in a unique scanning technology that is unrivaled, non-invasive and exclusive to Omexom.
Key Duties/Responsibilities
Inspection and reporting for powerline distribution assets
Bushfire mitigation identification and reporting
Perform all works associated with the asset inspection contract in a timely and safe manner
Experience in and ability to develop and maintain good customer relations
Ensure all equipment and materials are maintained and in good working order
Provide timely reporting as required on work progress, quality standards and work practices as required by both Omexom and its Client
Ensure the highest standards of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance are achieved
Ability to live away in work locations regularly, but home each weekend, with allowance paid for living away on top of standard rates
Skills/Experience
Certificate II in Asset Inspection
All current relevant VESI training certificates
Sound knowledge of asset inspection principles and techniques
A thorough knowledge of current regulatory and industry requirements
Construction Industry White Card
Current Driver's License
Ability to work autonomously and unsupervised
Pre-Employment Requirements
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol test.
