Details: Roads ACT is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Asset Inspector to join within Road and Path Network.
This is an exciting opportunity in Roads and Path Network to contribute to the longevity and functionality of essential assets across the Territory. The role involves performing inspections on various assets, solving problems and identifying maintenance needs, and generating comprehensive reports.
The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, excellent communication skills, an ability to work independently in diverse work environments, assist with planning, coordinating, and monitoring quality of services. This role requires someone who can undertake various asset management work tasks using ACT Government systems.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: Relevant territory professional qualifications in Engineering, Architecture or Project Management or Infrastructure knowledge or accreditation with professional qualification is highly desirable. Hold a relevant trade certificate or significant trade experience is highly desirable. 10830NAT - Course in Crystalline Silica Exposure Prevention – highly desirable or the ability to attain within three months. Driver's licence (C-Class) is essential. Other: This position requires a pre-employment medical. This position does not require a Working with Vulnerable People Check. Note: This is a temporary position available 1 January 2025 until 30 June 2025 with the possibility of extension up to 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
