About the Role
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Asset Information Officer to join our Service Delivery team. This role ensures our asset information remains up-to-date and reliable within our Geographic Information System and asset document management systems. The position plays a key role in ensuring compliance with regulations, supporting operational activities, and managing incident response.
Key Accountabilities
Information Management: Maintain and update asset records in GIS and document management systems, ensuring accuracy and availability. Support reporting and documentation control. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline data management, implement best practices, and train staff on procedures. Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulations and company policies, conduct audits, and support regulatory reporting. Asset Protection: Manage Before You Dig Australia workflows, conduct asset protection assessments, and monitor projects for timely execution. Incident Response: Coordinate emergency response calls and collaborate with contractors for timely task completion. What You'll Need to Succeed
The key to your success in the role will be the skills, experience and attributes you can bring to the role and Tas Gas Networks – in this role, you will need to possess:
Proficient in using Asset, Geographic Information System and Knowledge Management software and tools effectively. Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy. Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Experienced in Knowledge Management, including document management and records control practices. Familiarity with engineering environments and the ability to interpret maps and technical drawings is advantageous. Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to convey information clearly. Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to take initiative and work unsupervised. Qualifications:
Experience in the Energy or Utilities industry would be an advantage. Certification in Asset Management and/or Certificate 2 in Business administration. Previous experience in a similar role will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications. What we can offer
