Your new company Our client, a local government organisation based in the Darwin area, is recruiting an Asset & GIS Officer to join their team in Darwin.
Your new role You will be responsible for managing and integrating the organization's Asset Management System and Geographic Information System to ensure data is reliable, accurate and up to date. Assets will involve a range of Civil infrastructure (roads, storm water drainage, parks, footpaths) and Buildings. This is a temporary role based in Darwin with an initial duration of 3 months and a potential extension.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Assist with the development and maintenance of the organization's Asset Management Information System (AMIS), GIS, and associated Asset Management Plans. Assist with the annual review of Asset Management Plans and Revaluation Reports. Assist with the coordination of asset inventory and condition inspections. Perform data collection and accurate data entry in a timely and efficient manner to ensure new assets are recorded on the organization's AMIS. Undertake data analysis to assist in the preparation of reporting. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role you will have:
Working knowledge of GIS is essential. Previous experience in Asset Management is desirable. Qualifications in Asset Management, GIS, Engineering or Project Management are desirable. General Construction Industry - White Card Driver's Licence.
