Territory Generation is the largest producer of electricity in the Northern Territory with assets from Alice Springs to Darwin. We use gas, diesel, and solar technologies to provide power across the Territory.
Your New Role As the Asset Engineer – Aero and Small Industrial, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of asset management strategies and services for allocated aero and small industrial power generation assets.
Your accountabilities include: Provide specialist professional advice on and manage the development, implementation and ongoing management of allocated plant assets including the development and implementation of asset management strategies and plans.Provide advice and input to new plant asset proposals on the economic viability of the project particularly in relation to whole of life asset management costs and feasibility and end of life issues.Investigate and report on plant failures and abnormal occurrences.Manage multi-disciplinary teams allocated from operational areas and external contractors to undertake maintenance of allocated assets.Identify and catalogue critical spares and manage contracts for services and parts.Prepare and monitor budgets for asset management plans.Provide specialist engineering and technical advice to operating and maintenance staff in the power stations as required.Monitor plant performance and implement actions for better performance and reliable plant operation.Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with operation and maintenance of relevant generation plant and assets including but not limited to LM6000, TRENT60, SOLAR Touras, MARS and TITAN gas turbines.High level contract management skills including long term service agreements.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including understanding of root cause analysis and plant failure investigations.Demonstrated skills and knowledge of asset management systems, in whole life cycle planning and preparing budgets.High level oral and written communications skills with the ability to influence and persuade others, maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and successfully negotiate outcomes.Demonstrated abilities in preventative maintenance, spares parts management and Computerised Maintenance Management System.Sound knowledge in statutory compliances and relevant Australian and International standards and their applications.Ability to carry out duties in accordance with Territory Generation's safety, environmental and quality policies and corporate values and strategies.This is an ongoing role and requires Australian Citizenship or other eligible visa type.
