This is a permanent full-time role offering the right candidate a supportive and focused structure as well as a fun, collaborative, and empowering workplace.We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Asset Accountant to join our finance team.
This role will be the key contact within the finance team for all matters related to assets, ensuring effective communication and coordination with both external and internal stakeholders to manage asset records, compliance, and reporting requirements across several brands and entities.Key Responsibilities:Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.Create fixed asset numbers and raise purchase orders.Assist the team with period end close procedures, journal entries, reconciliation, reporting and forecasting for fixed assets in SAP.Involvement in the maintenance of landlord and lease registers.Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as IT, project management, legal and supply chain department stakeholders, to ensure timely and accurate processing, as well as external stakeholders such as suppliers and landlords.Knowledge of accounting and tax depreciation rates.Assist with inventory tasks regarding claims, provisions and stocktakes - providing recount listings to stores and raise and release provisions.Prepare related balance sheet reconciliations and reporting.Work with the accountants in the preparation and collation of audit documentation, as well as help with resolving audit queries.Play a key role in driving system and process improvement opportunities.Maintain up to date process documentation.Assist the finance team with other period-end processes as required.Assist the project management team with administration relating to store projects.Involvement in other projects as required.ABOUT YOU...We are looking for someone enthusiastic, energetic, and who understands our business philosophy.
