The Assessor Auditor utilises expertise to provide specialist service, advice and the implementation and administration of the auditing process for High Risk Work License Assessments.
The key purpose of the Assessor Auditor role is to ensure the effective and efficient administration, auditing and oversight of approximately 70 RTO's and 350 Individual Assessors authorised by WorkSafe to conduct High Risk Work Licence Assessments across Victoria.
Ensure the effective and efficient implementation and administration of RTO and Individual Assessors auditing processes for High Risk Work Licence Assessments by auditing, verifying, informing and educating RTOs, Individual Assessors and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with legislative obligations Identify non-compliance with OHS legislation, National Assessment Instruments, WorkSafe's Conditions of Authorisation for RTOs and Individual Assessors Identify opportunities, make recommendations and implement continual improvement of the RTO and Individual Assessor program Use specialist technical knowledge and expertise and play a role in: Analysing any deficiencies by RTOs and Individual Assessors so that suitable corrective action plans can be developed and implemented Contributing to the development of documents for use by RTOs, Individual Assessors and the Authorised Assessor Compliance Unit Audit the performance and compliance of RTO's/Individual Assessors through onsite and desk top records audits. Utilise analysis and research to identify non-compliance and implement the appropriate administrative recourse Maintain records of audit results of RTO's/ Individual Assessors, including preparing reports on performance and activity levels Handle general correspondence and technical enquiries regarding the RTO/Individual Assessor program, responding to and providing informed responses regarding Ombudsman, VCAT, Courts and Ministerial enquiries You will have access to a WorkSafe fleet vehicle for all field work travel requirements About you
You are an experienced Auditor who wants to make a difference. Being a skilled communicator with great organisational skills, you enjoy working as part of a team and making an impact.
You will possess in-depth knowledge of your specific area that may be gained through a combination of study and experience Demonstrated knowledge of OHS legislation relevant to the High Risk Work program and audit of Registered Training Organisations and Individual Assessors Demonstrated knowledge of high risk plant, the National Assessment Instruments, national standards, computer based record systems and Microsoft Office Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislation, codes of practice, compliance codes and National Industry Standards within the context of the role An understanding of objective auditing processes and the ability to competently inquire into allegations of non-compliance and prepare evidentiary reports High level written and oral communication skills, including a proven ability to confidently communicate with RTOs, Individual Assessors, WorkSafe Management, industry associations, unions and other stakeholders, including State, Territory and Federal OHS jurisdictions An understanding of the scope of the Authority's functions, objectives and working relationships; particularly those matters relevant to licensing functions. A proven record of impartiality and integrity is required Practical experience in at least one of the high risk work licence industries that is audited by the Assessor Auditor Ability to travel regularly throughout Victoria, including some overnight travel Ability to work flexibly, both independently and as part of a team Qualifications Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or a Lead Auditing qualification Current Victorian drivers licence Working with Us
