The Assessment Planner Cadet will have the opportunity to work within a dynamic, collaborative professional team, gaining hands-on experience in the assessment and processing of development applications while providing expert planning advice to customers.
This role will involve close collaboration with our Development Assessment Team, where you will focus on statutory planning and the facilitation of high-quality design outcomes that align with Council's planning policies and regulations.
As an Assessment Planner Cadet, you will play a key role in reviewing development proposals, ensuring compliance with local planning controls, and contributing to the delivery of strategic planning initiatives.
You will gain valuable experience in balancing regulatory requirements with the promotion of sustainable development that enhances the community.
In this position, you will report directly to the Coordinator of Development Assessment (Fast Track), working closely with them to ensure efficient processing of development applications and the application of best practices in planning assessment.
