Clerk Grade 5/6 Ongoing Full-Time Parramatta 2 Roles About us The NSW Police Force (NSWPF) is one of the largest police forces in the western world, with more than 20,000 employees, including more than 4,000 administrative employees who support the sworn officers that provide a range of law and order services 24 hours a day, seven days a week to the socially, geographically and culturally diverse community of NSW. About the role We have an opportunity for an Assessment Officer - Sexual Violence to be part of our State Crime Command team. The role reviews NSWPF - Sexual Assault Reporting Options (SARO) reports that are disseminated to the Unit for action. The SARO Assessment Officer's responsibilities range from, but are not limited to, the review, classification, and management of reports of sexual violence submitted by the public to NSWPF through the online SARO portal. With a focus on a victim-centric and trauma-informed response, the successful candidate will, where required, refer to legislation and policy to review, assess and refer information, provide a timely response to victims, and provide advice, support, and education to police. This role involves reviewing in detail reports of sexual trauma experienced by both adults and children. The successful candidate will be required to undertake a psychometric testing and will be enrolled in the Wellcheck Program.
