We are currently seeking multiple candidates to be Desktop Home Assessors within their Home Claims team, who will be carrying out digital/virtual assessments of properties insured by our client to determine cause, coverage & repair of damages.
Your new role Reporting to the Home Assessing Team Leader, the Desktop Home Assessor is responsible for the end-to-end management of allocated claims.
You will establish the cause of damage as well as determining the scope and cost of repair to insured properties, whilst maintaining excellent customer service.
Conduct desktop assessments of insured properties using virtual assessing and/or causation reports provided by the insurer's suppliers Produce detailed reports - determine cause, coverage, damage and best repair methods Review scope of works - use your knowledge to provide reports to ensure the most cost-effective and timely method of repairs Build & maintain relationships – internal & external stakeholders including local authorities and third-party building surveyors Negotiate - define the scope of work and associated costing with the insurer's panel of builders What you'll need to be successful Construction trade qualifications OR working in a similar position is essential Computer competence (skills testing may be required) Ability to thrive in fast paced high pressure environments and ambition to grow alongside the business Ability to prepare construction & damage repair quotes and estimations (training provided) Completion of a background check during the interview process and prove full working rights in Australia The perks Regular salary reviews Additional days of leave – you'll receive a paid 'ME' day and one paid volunteer leave day annually Option to purchase up to two additional weeks of leave per year Paid parental leave Continuous development opportunities Insurance discounts & employee benefits High performance is rewarded ($$$) Celebrate success – regular social & community activities including annual celebrations, family fun days and events across each of the sites What you need to do now If you are interested in this new opportunity please apply directly, or for a confidential discussion please contact Naomi Hardy from Fuse Recruitment on 0432 391 158 .
