About the opportunity On a day-to-day basis, the Assessment and Contracts Officer's responsibilities will include:
working as part of a team to ensure that the Branch's responsibilities are effectively achieved; assisting with the administration and maintenance of the Department of Treasury and Finance Prequalification Scheme and the Technology Services List; undertaking research, investigation and analysis into contemporary procurement issues and practices; liaising with internal and external stakeholders to provide timely and accurate advice in relation to the Department of Treasury and Finance Prequalification Scheme and the Technology Services List; providing support and/or participating in whole-of-government procurement processes; assisting with the operation and maintenance of the Tasmanian Government Purchasing and Tenders websites; and preparing a range of written material, including briefings, memorandums, correspondence and reports, as required. About the Branch The primary responsibilities of the Procurement, Risk and Contract Management Branch are to provide advice on and manage the Government's procurement policy and framework; manage whole-of-government contracting arrangements; and to proactively minimise the cost of risk to government agencies through the Tasmanian Risk Management Fund.

Period of Appointment Fixed-term Flexible up to 4 August 2027.
Hours per fortnight Up to 73.5 - hours flexible - talk to us about how this could work for you. We are open to considering a range of flexible work options including part-time hours.
