The Assembly Plant Manager is responsible for managing all operations of the Australia assembly plant to meet quality, service level, and safety objectives. The role is based in the Melbourne Assembly Plant in Epping and reports to the General Manager South-Apac Responsibilities: Management of all daily operations, including assembly, production planning, warehouse, shipping, equipment & facility maintenance, logistics to customers & carrier performanceOptimizing inter-company supply chain and materials managementOverseeing quality control, ensure compliance with global guidelines and proceduresOverseeing productivity analysis, cost control, resources, lead capacity, and materials planningGenerating and implementing strategies to improve service levels, increase productivity and improve efficiencyHealth and safety of all employees and compliance with local, regional, and international regulations in all facets of the operationsProviding meaningful reporting to senior management in a timely and efficient mannerMeeting business plan objectives and set performance standards and goals for the teamBuilding High-Performance teams through ongoing performance and skill improvement planning for each individual team memberPromoting the Laitram Continuous Improvement culturePart of regional and global leadership teams The highly qualified candidate will possess: Significant experience in Manufacturing and/or Logistics ManagementDemonstrated successful management in an international setting, global companyA Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Operations Management or EngineeringKnowledge of global supply chainStrong people management skills, high level of organizational capabilitiesAn ability to set high standards and motivate, coach his/her team membersMulti-cultural sensitivity and the ability to communicate effectively across borders and culturesMechanical aptitude and curiosityComputer literacy, Oracle E-Business Suite#J-18808-Ljbffr
