The
Assembly Plant Manager
is responsible for managing all operations of the Australia assembly plant to meet quality, service level, and safety objectives. The role is based in the Melbourne Assembly Plant in Epping and reports to the General Manager South-Apac
Responsibilities:
Management of all daily operations, including assembly, production planning, warehouse, shipping, equipment & facility maintenance, logistics to customers & carrier performance
Optimizing inter-company supply chain and materials management
Overseeing quality control, ensure compliance with global guidelines and procedures
Overseeing productivity analysis, cost control, resources, lead capacity, and materials planning
Generating and implementing strategies to improve service levels, increase productivity and improve efficiency
Health and safety of all employees and compliance with local, regional, and international regulations in all facets of the operations
Providing meaningful reporting to senior management in a timely and efficient manner
Meeting business plan objectives and set performance standards and goals for the team
Building High-Performance teams through ongoing performance and skill improvement planning for each individual team member
Promoting the Laitram Continuous Improvement culture
Part of regional and global leadership teams
The highly qualified candidate will possess:
Significant experience in Manufacturing and/or Logistics Management
Demonstrated successful management in an international setting, global company
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Operations Management or Engineering
Knowledge of global supply chain
Strong people management skills, high level of organizational capabilities
An ability to set high standards and motivate, coach his/her team members
Multi-cultural sensitivity and the ability to communicate effectively across borders and cultures
Mechanical aptitude and curiosity
Computer literacy, Oracle E-Business Suite
