Your role and responsibilitiesABB is establishing a new manufacturing facility in Maryborough, on the Fraser Coast of QLD to service the QTMP project. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the unit in achieving the set production targets by adhering to the systems and processes. Each day, you will use machinery and equipment on the shop floor. You will also showcase your expertise by reading and interpreting the technical diagrams/instructions for assembly of Traction Converters. The work model for the role is: Onsite. This role is contributing to the Traction division in Maryborough, QLD. Main stakeholders are the Traction teams in Australia and Switzerland. You will be mainly accountable for:
Conducting all types of assembly work to produce semi-finished or final products/systems/panels, including the packing where integrated with production lines.Performing work manually or by using light hand tools.Carrying out regular quality testing as part of a defined production process.Operating within standard operating procedures and maintaining a clean work area.Qualifications for the rolePreferably holds Certificate II in Electrotechnology or Electrical Trade Qualified.Qualifications for operating cranes, jib cranes, platforms, and driving forklifts preferred (but not essential).Experience in mechanics, electrics, and/or automation, with ability to read construction and electrical drawings.Experience in Loom Manufacture (Including Terminations) is preferred (but not essential).Manual dexterity and analytical skills, along with the ability to learn and retain knowledge. Strong predisposition to work in a team environment. Ability to follow instructions and work to plans.Able to work in a factory environment which might involve heat, repetitive tasks, long periods of standing and bending over while handling parts, tools and other equipment.Able to produce high quality work with problem-solving skills and technical expertise in engineering & manufacturing processes.A "Can Do" attitude and willingness to be flexible to get the job done.
