Aspiring Partners

The opportunities: Though our primary focus is assisting new and established Partners, we are also interested in speaking to aspiring Partners, particularly those looking to make Partner within the next year or two noting that, from time to time, we place senior lawyers at the Special Counsel level directly into Partner level roles.
Key requirements: We are particularly keen to speak with experienced Brisbane-based Special Counsel with strong Partner-level aspirations and, ideally, who are bringing in some of their own work. A number of the Special Counsel lawyers we speak to aren't excited at the prospect of making Partner where they are (that can be for a number of reasons) so it's important to have a strong understanding of the market and possible options - potentially either with a lateral move directly to Partner, or into another Special Counsel role though with a clear run at making Partner within a reasonably short time frame.
Our key practice areas of interest include the following: property banking & finance financial services succession employment corporate / commercial planning & environment commercial litigation / insolvency construction / projects tech / cybersecurity / privacy.
