Attention Experienced Asphalt Labor Workers Position: Asphalt Labor Worker Location: Launceston and Northeast Tasmania Type: Casual, Full-Time Hours Compensation: Competitive hourly wage, based on experience
Position Overview: We are on the lookout for skilled and motivated Asphalt Laborers to join our dedicated team. This role is perfect for someone with a strong work ethic, reliability, and experience in asphalt work, road construction, and maintenance. You'll contribute to a range of projects, from routine road repairs to large-scale civil jobs, in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that values precision and quality.
Key Responsibilities: Surface Preparation: Conduct site preparations and prepare surfaces for paving Asphalt Laying: Spread, rake, and compact asphalt on various surfaces, including roads and driveways Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain tools and small machinery (rollers, pavers, etc.) Safety Compliance: Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times Maintenance: Assist with cleaning and upkeep of tools and equipment Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to complete projects on schedule Qualifications: Experience: Proven experience in asphalt labor or a similar role Skills: Knowledge of asphalt preparation and paving techniques Physical Fitness: Ability to handle physical tasks, lift heavy materials, and work outdoors in varying weather Teamwork: Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude Safety Knowledge: Understanding of safety standards and commitment to maintaining a safe workplace License: Valid Driver's License; bonus for MR or higher license If you're a hardworking, reliable asphalt laborer ready to make an impact on local infrastructure, we'd love to hear from you!
