Help us shape our state's economic future and position South Australia on the national and global stage.About the role:The Industry Workforce Capability Team advances industry-wide capability and growing priority industries in the manufacturing sector; fosters opportunities for businesses to access global supply chains; and leads strategy for industry to access the skilled workforce needed to continue sustainable economic growth in South Australia. The Industry Development Manager works with South Australian Manufacturers to identify and support opportunities for growth and investment.You will build and foster collaborative relationships and networks with South Australian industry, business, government and research and education sectors to enhance economic, environmental and social outcomes. You will also analyse intelligence to identify strategies, opportunities and levers to develop industry. You will be influential in supporting the growth of a strong, diversified, globally-connected and high-value local manufacturing industry, to adopt innovative business models, strategies and technologies.Key Competencies:To apply and succeed in the role, you will have:Detailed and contemporary knowledge of the South Australian Manufacturing sector, international, national and South Australian economies, and the risks, opportunities and trends affecting manufacturing growth and sustainability in South Australia.Significant experience in the development and implementation of high-quality partnering and engagement activities, collaborating with stakeholders in the development of targeted, actionable plans and programs.Experience in developing, interpreting and analysing strategy or policy, identifying priorities and providing high level strategic advice and succinct reports and recommendations.Sound knowledge of business, management and stakeholder practices.Demonstrated ability to think strategically, conceptually and creatively in the design, implementation and delivery of programs and activities.Remuneration:Competitive salary $121,107 min to $125,679 max pa plus superannuation.Benefits:Bringing your talent to the Department of State Development will see you rewarded with a wide variety of benefits such as:A variety of leave arrangementsWork-life balance with a flexible hybrid work arrangementAccess to great customised training and career development opportunitiesQualifications:Essential: NilDesirable: Appropriate Tertiary Qualification in Economics, Commerce or Business-related discipline or equivalent demonstrated experienceSpecial Conditions:The role will be offered full-time (1.0 FTE), initial 24-month term contract.Satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check (NPC) required prior to employment.Enquiries:For confidential enquiries / further information about the role, please contact Helen Bethell, Senior Manager, Manufacturing via How to Apply:All applications must be submitted through the I Work For SA website.
