Salary Package: $98,346 - $110,887 (plus super)
An ASD6 Governance Officer may undertake the following responsibilities:
Supporting efforts to shape the strategic direction of ASD's decision making boards and committees. Performing complex governance activities, documentation reviews and quality assurance checks. Providing high-quality secretariat support to ASD Boards and Committees, including coordinating meeting agendas and preparing minutes. Contributing to the development and maintenance of governance processes and frameworks. Reviewing existing procedures and workflows with a view to improving team output and remaining aligned with stakeholder requirements. Working collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation to achieve business objectives. Preparing briefs, talking points, corporate reports, and other written submissions. Assessing and prioritising governance activities in line with strategic objectives, recommending solutions for issues affecting the achievement of desired outcomes and seeking advice and guidance on more complex issues. Mentoring and training junior team members. ASD is responsible for planning and implementing specialized cyber and intelligence capabilities that support both Defence and the National Intelligence Community. Delivering these capabilities within our framework requires compliance with various legislative standards. Our team is dedicated to enhancing our governance expertise across multiple areas.

We are seeking individuals with backgrounds in governance, risk management, compliance, or related disciplines to join the Agency. Your experience in navigating legislation, regulations, and practices in these fields is highly valued by our organisation.
Governance Branch The Governance Branch of ASD is in search of qualified and experienced individuals to undertake intricate governance tasks. Candidates should possess a comprehensive understanding of relevant legislative frameworks or demonstrate the capacity to swiftly acquire and implement knowledge of these frameworks. Current openings exist in the areas of Audit & Risk, Executive Governance, Organizational Policy, and History & Public Access.
REDSPICE Transformation Branch REDSPICE Transformation Branch works with ASD's senior leadership and working level across the organisation to support the delivery of REDSPICE and organisational transformation initiatives. The branch's Governance and Evaluation team supports key decision-making processes by shaping the strategic direction of the REDSPICE Implementation Committee and the external REDSPICE Advisory Board, providing secretariat support to the Committee and Board, evaluating progress against REDSPICE outcomes, consulting broadly across ASD to identify and report programmatic risks and issues, and providing best practice governance advice to working level stakeholders.
As a member of our Governance team, you will work with stakeholders across ASD to help identify key issues and risks, progress the development of reporting artefacts, highlight achievements, progress timely discussions, evaluate program delivery and ensure Committee decisions are well informed.
