As a Cyber Security Mitigation Technologist, you will stay abreast of the latest domestic and international developments in technology, explore the risks of these technologies, test and assess the effectiveness of current and novel cyber security mitigations, and develop valuable advice for both internal and external stakeholders.
Roles in STAR Branch include both technical and non-technical; spanning strategic and operational planning, research and development, operations, business management and mission governance.

About our Team
The Standards, Technical Advice and Research (STAR) Branch, within ASD's Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC), informs and advises government and industry on cyber security best practices.
As a Technologist within STAR branch, you will have a unique opportunity to apply your passion for technology in a way that directly contributes to improving the cyber resilience of the Australian community and helps to make Australia the most secure place to connect online.

Previous cyber security experience or knowledge is preferred.
