We are seeking a permanent, part-time Tennis Coach who will have the responsibility for ensuring the provision of an outstanding on-court Tennis program at Ascham. As a Tennis Coach, you will develop, encourage, and grow participation in Tennis at Ascham in partnership with all stakeholders, focusing on the continuing development of our teams across both the Junior and Senior school. The Tennis Coach will also promote Tennis as an enjoyable, healthy sport for people of all ages and abilities in a safe and friendly environment, fostering and encouraging good sportsmanship and fellowship amongst all participants. The role will involve approximately 20-26 hours per week, including weekend hours.
What do you need to succeed? A Tennis Junior Development Coach accreditation (or willingness to obtain this qualification). Demonstrated tennis coaching experience within a youth sports context with a strong background across the 4-18 years age bracket. An ability to be an effective team member, including initiative, passion, willingness to collaborate and people management skills to drive holistic sports involvement. A current First Aid and CPR Certificate. A valid Working with Children clearance. A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. A demonstrated understanding of child safety and appropriate behaviours when engaging with children.
