Job Summary:We are currently expanding our team of Asbestos Lead Surveyors through internal promotions and new contract acquisitions.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work throughout the UK, with occasional offshore assignments.
Our main office is based in Derby, and we are looking for mobile surveyors across the UK (excluding Scotland) to conduct surveys and maintain high standards of asbestos management.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct Asbestos Surveys:

Carry out asbestos sampling, reinspections, and management, refurbishment, and demolition surveys across a variety of domestic, commercial, and industrial properties in line with HSG264 and company procedures.Collect and Transport Samples:

Collect site data, transport asbestos samples to UKAS-accredited laboratories, and complete asbestos survey reports and drawings using company software (Alpha Tracker).Client Liaison & Support:

Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing specialist advice and technical support when needed.
Liaise with Asbestos Surveying Quality Managers, Contracts and Projects Managers, and Supervisors.Health & Safety Compliance:

Work in accordance with current health & safety guidelines, ensuring that all work complies with CAR 2012, HSG 264, and other asbestos-related regulations.Project Management:

Oversee all aspects of the asbestos survey process, including assessing additional site risks, liaising with clients to ensure site accessibility, and agreeing on deviations from the agreed scope of work.Mentorship & Equipment Management:

Lead asbestos surveys and mentor trainee surveyors when necessary.
Manage and maintain all company-issued equipment and PPE, documenting inspections in line with company procedures.Person Specification:Qualifications:BOHS P402 (or equivalent) Buildings Surveys and Bulk Sampling for Asbestos qualification required.P405, PASMA / IPAF, Confined Space, RPE Inspection, IOSH, CSCS qualifications are desirable but not essential.Experience:Minimum of 1 year post-qualification experience in asbestos surveying.Experience working with asbestos data collection software (Alpha Tracker preferred).Previous experience collecting data using hand-held mobile devices.Skills & Requirements:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Flexibility to work varying shift patterns (days, evenings) with appropriate rest periods between shifts.Ability to travel to multiple sites across the UK, including staying overnight in accommodation booked by the company.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and report writing.A flexible and adaptive approach to work, including the ability to work offshore when required.Driving & Security Requirements:Applicants must be at least 21 years old with a minimum of 1 year of driving experience.Must hold a clean driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points and no driving bans in the last 5 years.Willing to undergo DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) and SC (Security Clearance Check) screenings due to work with government agencies.
Failure to pass these checks may result in termination of the contract.
