We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Environmental Consultant - Contamination Specialist with a specialty in Asbestos / Hazardous Materials, to join our well-respected, specialist Contaminated Sites team in Perth.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for somebody who has a strong industry experience in the management of hazardous materials and is looking to broaden their career opportunities and develop skills related to investigation and management of contaminated sites. The applicant must be able to express a strong focus on data management and report writing skills and have demonstrable experience acting as the project manager for various projects.

Some key areas of responsibilities are, however not limited to: Completion of HazMat Surveys and supervision of HazMat removal programs, friable enclosure inspections, clearance inspections and preparation of clearance certificates.Perform airborne fibre monitoring during HazMat removals and soil remediation programs.Completion of field investigation programs involving collection of soil, sediment, surface and groundwater samples and supervision of drilling contractors.Supervision of remediation contractors during HazMat removals and contaminated site remediation programs.Preparation of technical reports for contamination (PSI, SAQP, DSI, RAP, SRV) and Acid Sulfate Soils (ASSDMP, closure reports)Preparation and costing of proposals for review by the management team.Project management including ensuring reporting key milestones are met, financial targets are achieved, and client satisfaction is maintained.Liaison with clients, regulators and contaminated site auditors.ABOUT YOU Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Environmental / Earth Science, Chemistry, Geology or Occupational Hygiene or a related fieldRegistered Licensed Asbestos Assessor is desirable3-5 years' consulting experience with a focus on identification and management asbestos / hazardous materialsStrong working knowledge of NOHSC: 2002 (2005), NOHSC: 2018 (2005), DoH 2021 guidance and the OSH Act 1984 and Regulations 1996 (WA)Experience of HazMat Audit and Removals Supervision is desirableExcellent report and proposal writing skills with the ability to prepare technical reports Flexibility to undertake work as required.WHATS ON OFFER
