About The Company     Our client is a specialist in the built environment, providing a variety of accredited testing and assurance services.
Their services are focused on risks to wellbeing and sustainability, with their site in Perth being NATA accredited for assessing hazardous building materials and air quality.
They have several offices throughout Australia, with close knit and qualified teams in each.
About the Role    This is a full-time role as an Asbestos Assessor, working Monday to Friday and with a focus mainly on Perth and surrounds (with potential for infrequent travel further afield).
Working under a seasoned lead consultant, this role would suit a recent graduate with some experience in building assessments, or someone from the building industry keen to take a step towards consultancy.
As several contracts potentially involve defence, citizenship is an important requirement for security clearance purposes.
Being a Licenced Asbestos Assessor is also helpful but not required if you are open to training.
The role itself may involve the following: Conducting surveys/inspections, and managing the completion of surveys/inspections for the presence of asbestos/hazardous materials building materials.
Conducting asbestos airborne fibre sampling, in accordance with relevant standards or guidance documents.
Undertaking visual clearance inspections following asbestos remediation.
Managing asbestos remediation projects.
Writing technical reports and developing asbestos registers, management plans and technical scopes.
About You To be successful in this role you will be expected to have the following: Relevant degree for Environmental testing, or experience within building/construction managing hazardous materials like asbestos Excellent verbal and written communication skills Organisation skills and strong attention to detail      Strong sense of team and willingness to learn Full working rights in Australia Though the position will be primarily focused on hazardous material auditing, other areas of knowledge are favourable: Air testing, Chemical management/auditing, Water testing, Infection control experience If you meet the above criteria and are interested in this opportunity, please apply online in the first instance.
