DetailsStart date: Monday 30th September 2024Contract length: 8 weeks Shifts: 0800 – 1630 shift, Mon-SunWorking in all areas: Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Day ward/holding bay area, Fluoroscopy, Angio suites and Nuclear Medicine About the role:Responsibilities include:Patient Assessment: assess the physical and emotional condition of patients before undergoing imaging procedures.Monitoring: during imaging procedures, observing for any adverse reactions, discomfort, or complications. Emergency Response: Including adverse reactions to IV contrast agents. Documentation: maintain detailed records of patient information, the procedure, any administered medications, and any adverse events or reactions in EPIC. Patient Education: Educate patients about recovery expectations and any necessary follow-up care. Also provide information on any post-procedural care and follow up instructions/ restrictions and or guidelines. Preparation: Work in collaboration with radiographers to prepare patients for imaging procedures, which may include instructing patients on what to expect during the procedure/ examination, providing them with gowns to change into, ensuring the removal of any metallic objects/ foreign bodies from the area examined, and positioning them correctly for the examination.
