About the company:This Manufacturing Organisation is well-known within the Food Industry and is located in the western suburbs of Melbourne. Due to substantial growth, they have partnered with Evolve Scientific Recruitment to source a skilled Packaging Technologist to join their amazing culture.
About the role: The primary focus of this role is to lead, coordinate and successfully deliver artwork & packaging projects from idea generation to launch. This will include a variety of new product development, artwork workflow, packaging renovation, quality improvement, and cost reduction projects.
Reporting to the R&D Manager, your main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coordinate and lead packaging trialsManage technical concepts, feasibility, and implementation of all packaging for new products as well as improving the packaging of existing productsPreparation of packaging specifications for new productsProvide guidance on packaging changes and NPDs to ensure they are compliant with Australian and international standardsLiaise with internal and external stakeholdersIn order to be considered for this role, you will possess the following:
Tertiary degree in Food Science/Technology and/or Engineering1-2 years' experience working in an FMCG or Food ManufacturerExperience working in Packaging within a manufacturing business mainly from Dairy, Food, BeverageProven experience working with Rigid Packaging products as well as flexiblesProven background of taking a packaging concept and delivering it to the marketAbility to work and network across all areas of the businessExceptional communication skills with the ability to liaise with key stakeholders at all levels from operator to Senior ManagerPrevious experience leading complex projects, with multiple stakeholders, across different geographical locationsTo be successful, you must also come with the following attributes:
