But enough about us, let's talk about you Our Arts and Culture team is looking for a dynamic, passionate and capable individual to fill the position of Arts Development Officer – Public Art and Projects, to deliver outstanding arts and cultural outcomes in Mandurah, in partnership with the community.
The City of Mandurah values and celebrates the importance of creative expression to shape identity, make sense of the world around and enrich the lives of the community and visitors to Mandurah.
The commitment to delivering accessible creative engagement and for Mandurah to be known as a cultural city, is evident in its rich and holistic Arts and Culture Strategy and accompanying creative program.
You will be responsible for: Delivering the goals and objectives of the Arts and Culture Strategy 2023-2028 and the Strategic Community Plan 2020 – 2040, including: Providing specialist public art project planning, implementation and guidance.
Contributing towards the management the City's public art collection and a place-based cultural program.
Contributing towards the management of the City's civic art collection.
Supporting Mandurah's diverse community to have access to creative opportunities, initiatives, and collaborations.
Responding to the professional development needs of the creative community.
To be successful you will have: Minimum five years' experience in working with public art.
Minimum five years' working in the arts, events management, or an allied field.
Event management experience including contract management.
Experience in budgets and budgeting processes.
Experience in sourcing, administering and acquitting grants, sponsorships, and funding opportunities.
Current unrestricted "C" class driver's licence.
National Police Clearance.
Experience of working with Local Government is preferred but not essential.
The finer details This permanent part-time Level 5 position (30 hours per week) attracts a pro-rata salary range of $87,623 to $93,338 gross per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience.
