Join the Little Rocket Arts Team as an Arts Coordinator , supporting First Nations artist engagement across projects from commissions to exhibitions and public art activations. Little Rocket is an established First Nations owned and operated, creative agency based in Brunswick, Narrm. This role is perfect for an organised, culturally conscious individual passionate about the arts, with room to grow and thrive in an agency environment that is dedicated to building opportunities for First Nations artists.
Key Responsibilities: Arts Administration & Operations: Support the Art Manager through the delivery of administrative tasks, such as contracts, file management, and database upkeep, while coordinating across departments. Project Coordination: Source and coordinate creative talent and resources, manage timelines, budgets and maintain client relationships to ensure smooth project delivery. Artist Engagement & Commissions: Research and build relationships with artists, coordinate commissions and creative briefs, and manage IP/ICIP-compliant licenses to support culturally safe practices. Events & Marketing: Assist in planning and installing exhibitions and collaborate with events and marketing teams to promote artists and projects. Funding & Research: Track grant opportunities, assist with applications, and conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends. Qualifications or Experience: Experience in the arts, art coordination, administration, or projects is preferred but not essential. Strong organisational and communication skills with attention to detail. Experience in Canvas, ClickUp, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace are preferred but not essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a commitment to culturally safe practices. Knowledge and experience working with First Nations artists and/or remote Arts Centres is a plus. Passion for supporting First Nations artists and a willingness to build meaningful opportunities for them.
