The Arts and Culture team programs and produces events and activities that entertain, engage, and enrich the Glen Eira Community.
We're responsible for:
EventsThe Glen Eira City Council GalleryThe History and Heritage unit.Our events calendar includes free and low-cost indoor and outdoor events produced and funded by Council, such as:

We are seeking a creative and community-driven individual who can liaise with artists, assist with organizing events, workshops, and exhibitions to ensure the seamless delivery of arts and culture programs.
This role offers opportunities to connect with the community and gain valuable experience in the Arts and Culture sector.
Other responsibilities include: Provide support to the overall Arts and Events team to ensure the successful delivery of Council programs, exhibitions, events, and festivals.Answer visitor questions and respond to access needs. Escalate complex questions and requests to the coordinator.Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.Provide supervision of artworks, displays, exhibitions, and activities in the Glen Eira City Council Gallery.About you
The ideal candidate will have outstanding customer service skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to effortlessly connect with a diverse array of stakeholders. You will have a genuine interest in the Arts and Culture sector with some prior experience in related fields such as galleries, events, and festivals.
Essential Some experience in working in the arts and culture space, public art galleries or museums, events, festivals, and/or related area.Experience providing excellent customer service.Desirable Demonstrated experience in administrative procedures and processesResponsible Service of Alcohol CertificateStatement of attainment in Safe Food HandlingNot meeting all the requirements for this role?
