The Artist Marketing Director is part of the team responsible for creating compelling marketing campaigns and providing project leadership for our International Catalogue roster (all UMG music that has been released for more than 2 years) and International Classics & Jazz artists and labels. Working on some of the most successful, innovative, timeless, and respected artists of all time, continuing to grow their audiences and keep the world listening.
The department develops strategies across audio, video, marketing, social, streaming, physical, and product development to continually grow listenership for our Catalogue. You'll be responsible for the planning and execution of our priority artist listener growth plans across both International and Domestic artists, engaging new audiences across key marketing channels & partnerships to drive fan growth as well as retain and engage existing audiences.

About the role: Leadership Lead, plan & execute best-in-class fan growth campaigns for Universal Music's International Catalogue and Classics & Jazz artists and build their listenership in Australia.Work closely with GM – Strategic Marketing, GM – Catalogue, and SVP – Classics & Jazz to inspire and coach the team.Be the key liaison for global contacts across International labels.Across our International Catalogue and Classics & Jazz rosters, you will lead to ensure the delivery of collaborative and fully integrated fan growth plans.Delivery of Artist Marketing Campaigns & Audience + Revenue Growth Create strategic alignment with cross-functional teams ensuring that effective marketing activity is fully integrated into the overall artist plan.Work closely with International Label partners across the world to align objectives and execute on those objectives.Display entrepreneurial flair and overt drive to further grow artist fanbases in Australia.Deliver audience and listenership growth across owned playlist properties.Drive audience and revenue growth for eCOM platforms.Work closely and build strong relationships with artists and their management teams where applicable.Identify, amplify, and sustain resurgent trends to ensure fan growth for our artists in Australia.Build content plans and manage content production tailored to different channels and audiences, ensuring messaging aligns with the overall communication strategy for a project.Develop impactful & effective advertising assets with the content creation team or external agencies as appropriate.Develop integrated strategies and relationships with internal Media & Audience teams to elevate our artists' profile across a broad range of audience opportunities.Work with our internal media agency to develop advertising channel plans across all paid channels.Content Have experience working with, and a strong understanding of digital cultures and platforms and their impact on music consumption and discovery.Lead and brief Internal and External agencies and creators to develop engaging content for our artists' fans.Contribute ideas and help refine suggestions into compelling creative propositions.Work with Performance Media to deliver bespoke digital initiatives.About you: A deep passion for music, and an understanding of the music business.A versatile marketer that has played a role in shaping culture and strategy.Passionate about growing audiences for artists and taking new and fresh approaches in the pursuit of growth.+5 years in a similar role.Experience leading a team.Exceptional communicator and superior relationship-building skills.Deadline and detail-oriented.Basic video editing experience is desirable.Thought leader with a strategic mindset.Degree qualification required (Marketing/Business/Arts).About us: Career opportunities – unique and rare opportunity to elevate your career in a supportive, motivated, and ambitious team.The opportunity to join the WORLD'S leading music company.All the perks of working within the music industry (did someone say live music?).X 2 'U-Days' per calendar year to spend however you like!Strengths-based learning and development opportunities.Much more…! #J-18808-Ljbffr
