Your role: As an Army Artillery Soldier in the Royal Australian Artillery, you'll be part of the team that operates at the forefront of combat and security operations.
You will learn to be the eyes and ears of the battlefield, by providing artillery fire, systematic surveillance and accurate target acquisition.
The Artillery Soldier pathway will provide you with the skills to advance in one of four roles: Artillery Observer – Be the eyes and the ears of the battlefield.
Use high-tech equipment to locate enemy targets and gather battlespace intelligence.
Artillery Operator – Be part of the team that sets up, aims and fires one of the Army's most powerful weapons in a role full of camaraderie and ongoing opportunities.
Artillery Command Systems Operator – Use advanced surveillance equipment, to understand the battlefield, identify targets and produce & communicate firing solutions for artillery and other available firepower.
Air Defence Operator – Use sophisticated radar systems to identify and analyse potential threats, then employ surface-to-air missile systems to destroy them, in this team-oriented combat role.

Salary: Upon commencing training, your starting salary will be approximately $56,385 per annum plus 16.4% superannuation and your pay will increase as you progress through training.
On completion of your initial military training and initial employment training, you'll enjoy a package starting from $76,700 per annum.
Eligibility: For this role, you must: Be at least 17 years of age when you enter the ADF Have completed an Australian Year 10 education (or equivalent) with passes in English and Mathematics Be an Australian citizen.
