About the Role An opportunity has arisen for a committed and passionate Art Teacher to join our Senior School community commencing T1, 2025.
This is a part-time position (FTE of 0.60), commencing in Term 1, 2025.
Reporting to the Head of Arts, the successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Art across the Senior School (Years 7 - 12).
The successful applicant will be highly creative and experienced in stepping into the delivery of the Art curriculum.
Applicants must have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and be able to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
To be successful in this opportunity you will require: Expert knowledge of content area and a demonstrated willingness to continue to develop knowledge and skills.Previous experience teaching Art from Years 7 - 12.VCE experience preferred.Close understanding and use of a variety of teaching strategies that address different aspects of the learning area and the range of learning styles of students in the class.Excellent appreciation of and the ability to use a range of assessment strategies.Well-developed classroom management strategies that can be applied to the St Catherine's culture.A proven capacity to deliver content with vigour and rigour.Excellent ICT skills with the ability to use ICT to support teaching and learning programs, as well as administration practices.Ability to work and contribute productively and energetically to a team situation.Excellent interpersonal skills.Ability to be proactive and take initiative.Highly developed organisational skills.A current knowledge of Australian Curriculum imperatives.Willingness to uphold the ethos and values of the School at all times.Why work for us?
