Alongside the provision of technical support to the Art & Design faculty, the role will be offered opportunities to develop and advise on student learning experiences in collaboration with the Teaching team, drawing upon the incumbent's own experiences as a practising artist.
Permanent Part-Time, 4 days per week (8am-4pm, Mon-Thurs)Works 38 weeks per year (i.e.
term time only) - NB salary is averaged across 52 weeks and paid throughout the year.Start date negotiable - ideally around Monday 10 February.Oversees functionality of all learning spaces (studio/classroom set up; preparation of resources and materials, equipment use and maintenance; stock control)Directly supports students across Years 7-12 in their work as required, particularly in areas where the incumbent is a particular specialist.Contributes to the development and execution of new learning initiatives and programs, initiating ideas based on own practical expertise.NB: the successful applicant may also be offered the opportunity to pick up additional casual work after hours delivering Extra-Curricular Art classes.Desired Skills and ExperienceThe ideal candidate: Able to obtain and hold a valid Working With Children Check.A practising artist, ideally in one or more of the following: painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture.Must have working knowledge of creative software (e.g.
