The National Indigenous Training Academy (NITA), based at Ayers Rock Resort, is searching for a Residential Team Leader to live and work onsite at Yulara, NT which is a 20 min drive from Uluru, one of Australia's most iconic and culturally significant landmarks.
About the NITA:The NITA Residential Team Leader at Ayers Rock Resort supports up to 80 trainees in dormitory-style accommodation whilst they complete their training.
Our residential program seeks to ensure that every trainee in the Academy feels a sense of connection, safety, and pride, but most importantly feels at home during their residence and trainee journey.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced leader dedicated to developing our framework and contributing to the Academy's national impact.
About the roleThe NITA Residential Team Leader provides support to the NITA Residential Support Manager who is the operational leader to the NITA Residential Team and Program based at Ayers Rock Resort.
The role supports the social, emotional, spiritual, and cultural wellbeing of Indigenous trainees working and living at Ayers Rock Resort, with the goal of developing skills to thrive in life, maintaining employment, and completing their traineeship.
Key Duties: Managing and developing a dynamic and fully resourced high-quality residential team focused on providing a supportive, inclusive residential environment.Designing, planning, and implementing effective and innovative programs and activities on a daily basis to trainees that support their needs and contribute to their personal and professional development, based on an understanding of their barriers, needs, and aspirations.Engaging in professional development of the Residential Supervisor team, ensuring they have the skills and support needed to carry out their role.About youYou are an experienced professional in the community services sector.
You understand the unique and diverse strengths and challenges facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, with a willingness and capacity to listen and learn.
Tertiary qualifications in social work, social welfare or related discipline are required for this role.
Due to working with young adults, a working with vulnerable people check will need to be obtained before starting with us.
