Risk, Safety and Compliance Business Partner Location: Baulkham Hills area NSW. Hybrid working. Full-time, Permanent role Salary circa $140,000 package Role Overview:
The Safety Business Partner is an integral part of the Safety Team and is responsible for managing internal safety systems, workflows, compliance, incident reporting and investigation, and process innovation. This role will support the Operations team in developing risk mitigation plans and other relevant safety actions and activities. The Safety Business Partner will provide safety leadership, expertise, and coaching to improve and maintain a safety culture, ensuring that the team works safely every day.
Key Responsibilities: Partner with Operations team members across the business to develop risk mitigation plans and other safety actions. Promote safety through new and existing communication channels, providing updates and obtaining feedback from stakeholders. Assist in developing corrective actions for incidents and controls for identified hazards to eliminate workplace accidents and injuries. Develop and deliver safety-related training. Provide safety leadership, expertise, and coaching to internal stakeholders to enhance the safety culture. Support the Safety Officer in daily work focused on incident and compliance management. Represent the company at client and industry events, including during the onboarding process with new or potential clients. Candidate Requirements: Minimum 4+ years of experience in a similar role. Diploma in WHS or Cert IV WHS (essential). ICAM qualification or similar (desired). Passion for improving safety and compliance to protect people and add value to the business. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience in taking initiative in a changing work environment, with resilience to overcome challenges. Flexibility to travel interstate as required (quarterly). Strong leadership and influential skills to drive change and results. Proactive, empathetic, and motivated to educate others. Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Experience with a vehicle fleet and the safe delivery of products.
