About the role
We are looking for a very structured, innovative and experienced finance leader to lead a large team and drive excellence within our support function. You will provide hands-on organisational leadership to the Finance, Payroll, and Office Management Teams.
Key responsibilities
Oversee and manage all aspects of the Finance, Payroll, and Darwin Support Office Administration departments with a team of approx. 45 staff. Lead, develop, and empower sub-department managers. Lead the quarterly financial reviews and annual budget development function for the organisation. Forecast workload and staffing needs; and recruit adequate numbers of skilled team members to meet the needs of the areas of responsibility. Work closely with the General Managers of each division to support new operational ideas and opportunities review with a big picture and financial lens. Support the wider business on complex financial issues and provide advice and recommendations as matters arise. Support and promote innovation through our highly skilled and knowledgeable Data and Analytics team. Project management and identifying process weaknesses and implementing change and process improvement. Be a champion of the ALPA values and demonstrate a commitment to work health and safety.
