About the Role We are currently seeking applications for a Mission Support Instructor to join our team based in Oakey. This position is an operational non-flying support role within Airbus Australia Pacific and will be responsible for supporting the delivery of Ground Crew Mission Support (GCMS) training within the School of Army Aviation (SAA).
Responsibilities: Work in a blended workforce combining Military and Contractor personnel responsible for delivering instruction on all GCMS courses. Instruct trainees on the use of Military communication equipment. Instruct trainees on the setup, operation and maintenance of the Aviation Mission System (AMS) relevant to CH47F, UH-60M, and AH-64. Implement changes to courseware and training material, including ADELE, to ensure up-to-date and relevant training solutions. Assist the course manager in administering courses, including monitoring student progress, providing feedback, and maintaining records. Continuously develop instructional skills and trade knowledge. Provide instruction on AMS software and technical guidance at the user level. Instruct uploading, downloading and storage of mission flight and maintenance data in support of AMS capability. The knowledge, skills, and experience best suited to this role include:
3 - 5 years' experience within Australian Army Aviation Corps, Royal Australian Corps of Signals, or similar ADF military FMS. Working knowledge of the Australian Defence Forces System Approach to Defence Learning. Experience in delivery of competency-based technical training in the defence aviation industry. Thorough knowledge of military aviation training regulations, standards, and best practices. Familiarity with operational and technical aspects of working within an operations room, including the use of defence-related IT and communication systems to support mission planning and execution. Comfortable adapting quickly to learning a variety of new software programs and tools. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot software user issues. Effective communication skills and willingness to take on a variety of responsibilities to support team goals. Currently hold a valid NV security clearance or be eligible to obtain one. Currently hold, or be able to attain the following ADF qualifications (desirable but not essential): P104170 Avn GCMS Comd Post Optr ARH 202914 P108211 Avn GCMS Comd Post Optr MRH90 208243 TAE 40116 (or equivalent) Certificate IV in Training and Assessment What's on Offer Clear operational and strategic objectives.
